Olivia's Hot Pick - Glitter Gloss for Tween Girls!

UGoGrl Activity Collectible Trading Cards are the perfect cure for rainy-day summer fun! If you're feeling challenged to keep your tween busy these days - whether at home, while on vacation - consider UGoGrl!
Today was a boring, rainy day so I decided to make UGoGrl Glitter Gloss. It's the Olivia Go Primp card! We had all the ingredients here at home so Faith and I got started!

I started out thinking about making it pink but changed my mind to PURPLE!!

GORGEOUS & FUN FOR A RAINY SUNDAY!!!!!

UGoGrl is a hit at Daytona Gymnastics Camp!

UGoGrl was excited to sponsor a craft day at Daytona Gymnastics Summer Camp this week! Here's a sample of the girls who participated, making Body Glitter (Olivia's "GoPrimp") and Sweet Smelling Sachet's (Kim's "GoCreate") Each of the girls received a pack of cards to trade and collect when the day was over. Special thanks to Coach Angie and Coach Katie for helping to make UGoGrl Day a big success!

Olivia's Hot Pick of the Week!

I love the UGoGrl twins, Lauren and Lexi! This is their Go Mingle card telling about, "Sibling Situations." I have 2 older brothers and a younger sister so there are a lot of siblings in my house! Sometimes we argue but most of the time we get along. The best part about being a big sister is teaching my little sister, Faith. She always wants to do what I'm doing! Sometimes it gets annoying but she's a pretty cool little sister!

Swimming with The Sharks

After much encouragement from family, friends, and one savvy Mompreneur in particular, I decided to jump into the tank...the Shark Tank, that is. I courageously submitted an application for UGoGrl to be considered for season 3 of ABC TV's reality show, "Shark Tank." I'm SOOOO excited to say that the casting folks liked what they saw in our initial app and invited us to move on to the Personal Video Submission round! The object here was to "WOW" them with our enthusiasm and passion for our product, while presenting UGoGrl as a viable and interesting business that would hook the Sharks. We hit the goal and gave them a fun, out-of-the-box look into the world of LocaSmarts and our unique, one-of-a-kind Activity Card! We had a blast working with our UGoGrl's, and each other, preparing for this HUGE opportunity! Stay tuned...we'll keep you posted on what we hope will be an exciting next step for UGoGrl!!

Encouraging the many sides of my Tween

We're in the 3rd week of summer today and Olivia's excited about having a low-key day...reading. What? I don't have to plan a play date or shuttle all over town? Woo-hoo! I'm elated that she's a multi-faceted kid who finds happiness in many things...whether it's doing gymnastics or making homemade sidewalk paint, writing in her journal, or choreographing her routine for the in-home version of, "America's Got Talent," all while asserting her place among 3 other siblings...this girl loves it all. And what's not to love in a child who takes 10 minutes choosing just the right pair of jeweled sandals to compliment her "Play Like A Girl/Beat The Boys" t-shirt?!
There are many, ever-evolving sides to my tween girl, and the hundreds of thousands of girls just like her. UGoGrl celebrates the interests and personalities of all girls, encouraging and challenging them to expand and become the greatest version of themselves!

Olivia's Hot Pick of the Week

Hi, it's Olivia! Welcome to my first Hot Pick Of The Week! Nina is my real life cousin and her Go Create card is my fave! My sister and I had a lot of fun making sidewalk paint and decorating
our driveway! I made the peace sign and Faith made a flower. That was so much fun!

Fundraiser Idea: Sit back & enjoy the show!

If your community is like ours, you're probably eyeball-deep in fundraising for your kids' various clubs & activities. Here's a suggestion that we used for my daughter's gymnastics Exhibition that helped raise funds AND enhanced the enjoyment factor for the parents: we hired a local videographer to tape the entire 90-minute program. Finally, mom & dad could watch the performances through their own eyes, rather than through a tiny, little viewfinder! How nice is that?! We pre-sold the DVD's and when the show was over, parents presented their proof-of-purchase & were given their (professional) copy hot off the burner. (DVD's were $15 each, with $5 going to the Booster Club.) Some tips to increase profits: 1) Secure a videographer who only charges you for each DVD that is purchased. You don't want to have to pay a flat fee up front just to get him/her there, 2) Advertise ahead of time to let parents know that the service will be available so they come prepared to purchase the DVD, 3) Have extra copies made for those parents who don't purchase at the time of the event but realize later that they should have!!
